The tech you see in your favourite Sci-Fi flick is becoming a reality with Google Project Glass. Sergey Brin’s ambitious project wants to make the consumption of smartphone information hand’s free. For example, rather than taking out your smartphone to take a picture or bringing out your phone to read a text message, the Google glasses will do that for you.
The video above shows the Google glasses live feed from a Google plus hangout. The video is amazing and shows the capabilities of this piece of tech that got the crowd excited.
Google has been the most polarizing tech company lately, with lots of failed projects and plenty of succesful acquisitions and launches. This is the first event in a while that looks like a complete win, with the Nexus 7 that makes us forget about the Kindle and the demo of Project Glass.
The glasses is only available for pre-order to developers at the Google I/O conference for $1500, Brin is hoping to release to the public sometime next year.
