I just got the iPhone 5 a week ago, and I have been using the Personal Hotspot a lot because it is going to take a few weeks for the internet provider to install the phone line and a new router.
Anyway, I was watching a YouTube video online and my internet cuts off. I assumed my iPhone battery died or it reset itself so I went to go check. I open up my setting menu and my personal hotspot option doesn’t exist.
First thing I do is go online to check how to fix it. First option says I should reset network settings, which I did and it still was not there. I have it back now so I will show you step-by-step what to do.
Step 1: Try to Reset Network Setting: General> Reset> Reset Network Settings. This did not work for me the first time read on.
Step 2: After resetting your iPhone and it is still not there check under Settings> General> Mobile Data> Scroll Down and look for your Personal Hotspot there.
You can use your personal hotspot under the mobile data setting, for me I reset my iPhone one more time and the option came back in the main settings menu. If all the above doesn’t work, try the long and gruelling way; back up your iPhone and restore to factory settings but before that try to reset it at least 3 times.
