If you can’t get enough of puzzle solving, interactive gaming and intense plots– you’ll probably love adventure games. They are arguably the most frustrating/rewarding genre of games to play and are also notoriously difficult.
The top 100 adventure game list was compiled by Adventure Gamers; we are only publishing the top 20; so I recommend you check out their impressive list article after. You may notice some of your favourite games are missing from the list; this is probably because the game is not pure adventure–for example Uncharted series is an action-adventure game, rather than just adventure so it probably won’t make the list.

The links send you back to the site with details on each game and so forth. The number 1 on the list is Grim Fandango, primarily written by the legend Tim Schafer. It was a breakthrough game released in 1998, it received critical acclaim but the sales were less than expected so there is a good chance you have never heard of it.
It you love adventure games read up on the list and select a few to give a go.
