This is part 1 of a series of post that is going to show you how to quit using Facebook in every shape and form.
I have been a big advocate for the new Timeline design, and I wrote a post on reasons to keep Facebook Timeline. However, if you just can’t get used to it and you still loathe it, then there are ways to get rid of Timeline.
Facebook will not give you an option to remove Timeline so you have to get a browser extension that reverts to your old Facebook design.
I have tested it and it works, as shown above in the screenshots. The browser extensions work on Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari. I tested it on Internet Explorer since is it the browser I never used.
To hide your Timeline Facebook design, go to timelineremove.com
You will need to download and install the application, and you are good to go.
Log in to your Facebook, on the browser of you installed the application for then you will have the old Facebook look again.
Will your friends see your old Facebook design?
I doubt it will effect what your friends see, that is their choice; it only lets you use the old Facebook design and you will see your friend’s old Facebook profile pages.
If you decide that the Facebook Timeline isn’t so bad after all, you can simply uninstall the application and go back to Timeline, or simply use a different browser from the one you installed the app in.
Things people hate about the new Timeline
At first I couldn’t fathom the backlash Facebook got for the Timeline design, the feedback was polarising, but the most common complaint I heard was the two column layout— People just didn’t like it.
So here, you have it—this is the only method that actually works that I have found, tried and tested. Give it a go you may find that you actually like the Timeline after all.
