iMapMyRun
What it does: This amazing app helps you map out the route you are running, as shown on the screenshot above. It gives statistics on how fast you were jogging and how long it took, this is vital information is your goal is to lose weight or train for a marathon.
The apps tracking is live and you can store all your runs on their website. The app also provides nutrition advice and you can listen to music while jogging uninterrupted or use other apps while it works in the background.

Calorie Counter & Diet Tracker by MyFitnessPal
Calorie counting is synonymous with running because what you eat is vital to achieving your goals running that is why this app made the list. This is definitely the easiest calorie counter we have encountered, it makes dieting easy and it has rave reviews to attest to it’s awesomeness.
What it does: It has a huge database of food, it helps you keep track of what you eat and it tells you how many calories is in your food; and that includes fast food such as McDonald’s. Lets see what really in those chicken nuggets shall we?
The app also have exercise plans that you can use when out running. You don’t want to miss this one.

Get Running (Personal Couch)
Sometimes you need a couch to push you to your best run and Get Running (Couch to 5k) helps you do that. It works like a human it helps you create a plan for your work out and it encourages you to reach your goals. You can share your achievements via Twitter or Facebook, in other words you can brag to your friends about your jogs.
What it does: It helps you organise 2 to 3 thirty-minute exercises a week which is perfect if you don’t have time to job but you want to.

Nike+ GPS
This app is very similar to the first we mentioned iMapMyRun but we listed one as well because it is a completely different approach and of course, the Nike Community makes all the difference. It is very easy to use and looks really good. One of my favourite features is getting messages from celebrity athletes. The app also lets you get cheers and encouragement from friends.
