Dropbox was on fire over at the 2011 Crunchie Awards they won the Best Cloud Service and Best Overall Start-up.
Dropbox was founded in 2007, the service allows you to store files such as documents, movies and music on cloud space. It is a freemium model, in which you get 2gb free with the option to buy more memory for a monthly fee.
Dropbox allows you to store files from your mobile devices, laptops, back-up emails and files on a schedule.
Out of all the cloud based services, Dropbox is the easiest to use, although other companies like Box.net and Amazon offer more free space, Dropbox customer base it still growing.
With the recent destruction of Megaupload by the Feds it makes you wonder if Dropbox and other cloud spaces is in danger of prosecution. I think the key difference is that Dropbox is not necessarily used for sharing files but for storing; however that could easily change.
