Facebook introduced Timeline Movie Maker, a collaborative effort with Definition6 to turn your Timeline into a short movie of your life as you have presented it on Facebook.
It is pretty cool but you need at least 75 pictures shared on Facebook for it to work, I don’t have that many so I can’t show you sample.
It will look really good if you are very active on Facebook. Here is a video of the Timeline movie maker from this Mashable post.
There is also background music with the movie you make and it should be fun to share if you have some crazy photos.
Paul Hernacki, the CTO of Definition6 said this on twitter:
Mashable reports that Hernacki said:
“Timeline Movie Maker is evaluating highly engaged content in a chronological fashion, choreographing a user’s personal journey on Facebook, with content that has the most engagement and uses comment analysis to identify key life moments and where the user is tagged”
“The result is a powerful example of how the synergy between technology and marketing is crucial in driving complex projects like this to life, ultimately evoking an emotional connection from the end user.”
The reception for Timeline has been mixed, I am a fan and I think people will warm up to it eventually. But if you don’t your going to get it anyway because Facebook is changing everything to Timeline over the coming weeks.
